We believe in the conservation of the coral reefs. Through the exchange of knowledge and experiences, we can encourage responsible husbandry, breeding, and propagation.
My 150 Gallon is a mixed reef, consisting of SPS, LPS, and Softies. I use an OUter Orbit HQI fixture to light the tank providing 1062 watts of lighting (3 -250w 10K MH and 8 - 39w T% Actinic). The livestock consists of a Powder Blue Tang, Kole Tang, GSM Clown, Yellowtail Blue Damsel, Hawkfish, Six Line Wrasse, Bi-color Blenny, and assorted invertabrates.
My 24 Gallon is a Current-USA Aquapod. I have replaced the hood with a Current-USA Orbit using a 14K 150w MH bulb. This tank has primarily softies consisting of zoanthid, ricordia, and mushrooms. However I also have an Orange Sun Coral and a Black Sun Coral as well. Livestock consists of a paired couple of False Percula clowns (Black), Six-Line Wrasse, Leopard Puffer, small Blenny and some assorted inverts.
My 3 Gallon is the newest addition to our tank lineup. It right now is housing ricordia and some zoanthids. The only livestock is a Pom Pom Crab, that has actually become very personable.
I started ReefChat after having some conversations with fellow reefers.
