After seeing what Steve was doing with XML and the widget, I decided to do the same with the sig generator.

Every time a signature is sucessfully updated, an xml file with all stats is generated. They can be accessed buy username.xml

ex: http://www.rowelab.com/AquaController/Ashlar.xml

I plan on revamping the sig generator to make it more generic and also include power fail status.

how about reading the other stats, like all the history of the timers, i.e,. data logging of timers...

Also, how about figuring out what I have to do with my setup.

Should I scrap my router for a different brand???

Do I have achoice with the dsl modem that I have.

Can I change one out at a time to see if it is either of those that are preventing me from using the sig generator or the basic aquacontroller web feature?

As always, any help would be great.

Thanks

Bill

Bill, without being there, there's not much I can do. I'd recommend contacting a local computer club, or finding a computer service center that you're comfortable with. While I can ping your no-ip DNS name, either your modem or router isn't allowing http connections to pass through to your controller.

yea, I remember the results from our marathon attempt last week.

I was hoping for a suggestion on maybe changing out the hardware to something you are more familir with.

I am not comforatable with anyone out here.

I guess I will try calling verizon dsl and seeing if there is anyway they can help me.

I kinda think it is a dsl modem thing...

*nod* Verizon is famous for blocking ports in order to make you pay for a 'business' account. (And I work for them, so I hear the worst.)

i will let you know what ends up happenin with them.

They should be familiar with the issue as more people are using ip servers for thier web cams, and other 'non'-business uses... (shouldnt they??)

That's a good tack to take with them, yes. Tell them you have an http based web cam.
