Thanks vlogic,

No I hadn't planned on putting anything to cover up the electrical panel.  There's very little salt creep and no splash on that side of the sump.

I have to give much thanks to Ashlar here on the boards for the DJ station box and outlet box.  He does great wood work.  He used the same wood as the stand is made out of and I got the manufacturer to give me some matching stain for him to use.  Think I'm going to get him to build me a pool table now

The installation of the 2 new 20A circuits was very straight forward.  drill a hole from in the attic to drop the line down the wall.  I only had to patch 2 ceiling holes cause I missed the inside of the wall , then attach the outlets to the wires according to the directions on the box.  Then run the wire to your breaker box.  I did all this and then had a friend (home inspector) come help terminate the wires in the breaker box just to give me a piece of mind.  However, if your uncomfortable doing electrical you can't go wrong with hiring someone.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Did you use 4 -6 "L" shaped brackets to attatch the DJ equipment box to the stand?

I think I will do a little more research on the electrical before making a decision.  But it sounds pretty straight foward.

Thanks for the info!

Yup, L brackets hold it up to the stand. I made the box so that the box itself sits flush to the 'roof' of the stand, but leaves just enough room for two DJ power stations.

Did you use pond liner under the stand and inside the stand - under the sump?

And how far are your HQIs from the water, are you having any heat concerns?

I didn't mention this earlier, but great work on the aquascaping!  Are you using pvc or zip ties to keep them in place?

Thanks.

I need to apologize to Jeremy and the rest of the foum folks. This is the second time he has created this thread. The original had an explaination of the rock. He drilled the rock and used plexiglass rods to hold them together. It was a great idea and I plan to do the same when I upgrade. I know fromthe move in there is pond liner under the tank not sure about in the cabinet. The other one he will have to answer.

Yes your correct Steve,  There are acrylic rods connecting a few strategic pieces of the rockwork.  I just used small pieces of 1/2" acrylic rod ranging from 3" to 6" long depending on the rocks I was attaching.  I used a 1/2" concrete bit to do the drilling.  Below are some pics of how I was able to attach 2 rocks together.

I do have pond liner under the stand.  There was a large sheet of it.  We used it to drag the stand and tank into it's final resting place.  I then just took a razor blade and cut off the excess we used to pull with.  I also lined the inside of the stand with pond liner.  The entire bottom and 3" up the sides are all covered.  I'm so glad I did.  All my salt creep is easy to wipe up/off and it's not damanging the wood so the stand will still look very nice for resale value.  Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thank you guys...

I was thinking to use pond liner on the inside of my stand as well, but I didn't see the logic of it being underneath the stand, lol.  What did you use to keep it on the lower portions of the walls, inside the stand?  I was thinking about staples, but I am not sure yet.

That is a great idea on the rods!  I will definitely try that when I am aquascaping by 180.

How much did that bit cost?  I wonder if I can just use my standard bits for the holes?  And where did you purchase those rods, if you don’t mind me asking.

Ya.. no real logic for it under the stand except for the ease of movement.  I just used staples around the top edge to hold it in place.

The concrete bit is only a few dollars.  I purchased the the acrylic rod locally at regal plastics.  It was between 6 and 7 dollars for a 6ft. length of 1/2" diameter rod.

Let me know if you have any other questions.  I'll be happy to answer them.
