We wanted to update you about a few quick site changes. We have added some new features to add to your RCDO experience. While it is nice to add new features, there are some changes in how others work.
New Features: - Added a new User Profile module.
- Ever wanted to know more about another user - maybe their birthday, nickname or a bit more about them, or even see what they look like? Well now you can! We have even tied the you r profile into the private message system, forums, video and photo gallery. To other profiles you can browse the Member Directory.
- To update your profile, click Extras, My Profile. Then click on the pencil by your name to edit your birthday and upload a picture for your profile. To update the core profile information click on Edit Core Profile, then click on Manage Profile. Update the provided spaces. Don't forget to click Update at the bottom of the page to save your profile information.
- Added a new User Groups module.
- Allows users to create their own groups and maintain them.
- Added a Wall feature.
- This module provide a Facebook-style Wall to the profiles and groups. This allows members to collaborate or comment on/in specific profiles or groups. It is not intended to replace the forums.
- Added a new Video Gallery.
- This new addition allows our members to include videos on the site. Setup much like YouTube, members can ad videos created in many supported formats. There is also the ability to link or embed videos from YouTube, Google, Flicker or other services.
Updates: - Updated the Photo Gallery module.
- The gallery software was updated to the latest version. It operates much like the previous version, however the personal gallery is no longer visible from the main menu like it was before. The previous version created a member role for every member that wanted to access the gallery. This was a maintenance nightmare. The new version simply ties to your user security. You can access your personal gallery by selecting Extras, My Photos on the main menu bar. A link has also been provided in your User Profile to show your gallery. When you have updated your gallery and wish to share it, click on Share from the My Photos tab to get the URL link directly to your gallery.
- The Photo Galleries tab now contains a Public Gallery (controlled by the Administrator) that will display all albums for our members. If you create a new album in your gallery, please send a PM to admin if you wish to have it included in this public gallery.
