I'm super excited to test out the aquarium widget on my aquacontroller, however it doesn't have an option where I can input my username & password. Since it coudl mean life or death for my tank buddies if I someone were to mess with the program, I don't want to turn off the username/password on my AC.  Can you please let me know when the username and password options are added to the widget.

      Thanks!

      Ben

Oops, looks like I hit the enter button one to many times waiting for my browser to refresh... I guess I am excited to learn the answer. Hey, is there a delete or edit button on the forums where I can take these extra posts out? if no, it would be awesome to have one available.

Ben, The control does not store or need your userid and password. It makes a call to the AC, and you will get a login pop window, just like if you were to use the browser itself. Then you just login as you normally would. In other words, if you have a login on your AC3, you will get a login presented to you when the widget makes the connection.

As to the delete, I am still getting the permissions correct on the new forum software. I will look into adding delete permissions. However unless one of the mods got it, I only see the one post.

Let me know if you need anything else.

Another request for future versions - More robust error handling...

My internet connection at work is flakey... If the widget is unable to get a connection to my home just once, it immediately throws up an error and exits the widget... If possible, some more robust error handling that would make it retry a few times before failing, and preferably not exit the Widget on failure would be a nice addition...

      Thanks again!

Brian, I will be making the change to not exit in the next day or so. It will just try to refresh based on what you have it set to in your preferences. If that i five minutes, then every five it will attempt to reconnect. In addition I am still working on providing the ability to turn on or off individual controls.

Before everyone gets exited, this is probably only going to be available in the Lighthouse version.

This is a great widget but I'd like to have a setting to store my username and password to log into my controller instead of having to use the pop-up login box.

Another thing is the text formatting on the bottom is all messed up. I can't read my current temp pH ORP values.

Can you tell me which version of the AC you have? It was written and tested with the AC3. The formatting could be different on other AC units.

Okay, I need to get a copy of the source from your status.cgi page. Can you go to your URL (http://123.123.123.123/cgi-bin/status.cgi) and then right click on the page and View Source. Save that view and email it to webmaster@reefchat.org. I will take a look and get it fixed.

      Thanks

Todd, It looks like there are differences in the version of firmware. There appears to be less spaces between that data than in the version I have been testing with. Can you please provide me with the version number of your firmware. I will add a selection box in the preferences for you to choose from and that should correct the issue.
      Thanks!

Todd, I released version 1.0.12 today and if you select 3.00S as your firmware version then it should display properly. I went ahead and put the edit in that version since Neptune lists 3.20, 3.10, and 3.00 as the versions. I know I had already accounted for differences between 3.2 and 3.1. So I assumed that yours must have been 3.0. If it is not please let me know I and will adjust the drop down.

Adam, If I ever decide to move to Vista I may have to look into it. Unfortunately there is nothing in the plans now.

Thanks. The widget displays my parameters correctly now. Thanks for accomodating the older Aquacontroller firmware. I have been hesitant to upgrade it. You know the saying "If it ain't broke......"

Glenn, instead of reinventing the wheel, why not use the widget that Current-USA put together.
