Do you support parsing the newer XML output for the Neptune controllers currently?  If not is it planned?

      Ken.
I have not seen it yet. Barring any timing issues I am pretty sure we will support it. Just have to do some juggling.

As Steve mentioned, it's about time.. and access. I've got to work on the aquatronica, then I can focus on the newer AC once I get access to someone's.

Scott, would you like access to my AC3?

Thanks, that'll work once I get some time to start on it.

The new Neptune APEX cannot work with the old html/telnet format and will ONLY work with the XML format. Is there any support the user community can provide to help get the Neptune XML ready?

This issue is now not just about adding a new format to the existing AC3 format but adding basic connectivity for the Apex.

I appreciate the volunteer work the coders are putting in on this but want to add my request for Apex support.

      Thanks!

I can not fully speak for Ashlar but I believe we are simply currently parsing the cgi status screen. At the very least that is how the Yahoo Widget works. When an Apex comes out and a willing soul is will to work with us we can begin to work up updates. Barring other priorities.

The new AC3 firmware (3.4) AND Apex both share a common XML format for status output (available via http) so I am hopeful that the update could leverage this and ability and get AC3 and Apex for the price of 1 update...

No, no update, it's top of my list. Unfortunately, life has gotten in the way.

I updated the firmware on my AC3 Pro, so I have a testbed to begin work. I'll update as the situation moves forward.

Alright, it's in beta.. I updated the firmware on my AC3 pro to have the XML output, see my sig for the result-

Each outlet has two variables associated with it- $outlet and $outlet_status .. for example, in my sig below the 'left' light is.. of course.. $LT1. $LT1=OFF and $LT1_status=Auto

There are two new variables, $pf and $pr (for Power Failed and Power Restored, respectively.)

Those with Apex's (Apexii?) and AC3/Pro's with firmware 3.4 or better, please give it a try, let me know if it works for you.

(You'll need to change your URL from ../status.cgi to /status.xml and change your 'type' from the dropdown).
