So for my next post im going to talk about the short lived. 12 gal frag tank with 10 gal fuge.

So to start this off this was the first fuge/frag tank I had ever made. First of i did not take the amount of pic's
as I had wanted to. The tanks I used for this was a 12 gal eclipse. and a chep chep 10 gal I had found at walmart.
(Will never get another tank frome thare)
Now I will list what I did wrong:
I did not think this over be for I made it!!
I used plexy glass to make the fuge: This was a big mistake on my part due to the fact that silicone dose not stick to plexy glass.

Next was going with a 12 gal frag tank: It gave me little to no hand room to fix stuff.
Next was to use a differnt light souded easy well I made it hard.

As you can see I used egg crate to cover the top of the tank for the light to set on. Now this made it a pain since every time I wanted to get in to the tank I had to take of the lid and find a place to lay down the light. And it was just way more work then what it had to be.
Next I decided to plum hard pvc with out using a bulk head. I was suprized it never leaked.

Next was I did not place it on a proper resting place.
Now the bigest and finle down fall to it was I dumped about a 10 year supply of ph buffer in to the fuge tank.
Right at the return pump and every thing was coverd in a nice layer of ph buffer.
And so I broke it all down and started work on the 20 Longs.
I will cover that build in a later thread
